Our employees have combined over thirty years of experience within all aspects of Hearing Conservation Programs. All staff members are licensed and/or ceritfied in the field of Audiology.
A state of the art Hearing Conservation video is available for viewing prior to testing while waiting. Individual headsets are also available for the employees to wear to listen to the video at their own volume that will not affect the sound inside of the mobile unit. A very pro-active approach to getting employees in tune with their responsibilities for safe guarding their hearing.
Otoscopic viewing of the inner ear is crucial prior to testing to foresee any problematics of the inner ear.
Continual ambient noise is in compliance with standards while testing is in place. Testing takes approximately 5-7 minutes depending on the employee. The instructions come from within the headset to inform employee of what to expect from the testing. Seventeen different languages are available.
All past historical data is input to SOLO Benson Plus system prior to coming onsite to test.
Training is completed on ALL employees immediately after testing to assist in their knowledge of results. All results are spoken in a language familar to the employees, "layman terms", for the employee's understanidng.
If needed, a questions and answer time is available to those who have more indepth questions or responses needed.
Two employees are tested every 10 minutes consistently. 12-15 hourly. State of the art SOLO Benson 200 Plus software. All testing equipment and software are used for up to date results.
All documents are in compliance with OSHA Guidelines under 1910.95 regarding Occupational Noise Exposure. Employees re given a letter of notification immediately upon completion of testing. Recordable shift is stated to employee incurring the shift both verbally and in writing.
All training is performed by CAOHC certified technicians and/or Audiologists. Training consists of teachng effects of hearing loss, anatomy of the ear, ways to preserve existing hearing and general safety techniques.
Whether a detailed sound assessment or a general overall assessment is necessary, technicians and Audiologist are on board ready to assist with the assessment.
